Our premium product of 'Flame Retardant' Electrical wires are used in residential premises, Commercial complexes, indoor & outdoor stadiums, hospitals etc where safety becomes a prime requirement. Our flame retardant wires are used because of the special PVC Compound, which retard the spread of fire. The consistent quality of 99.99% pure bare copper conductors result in power saving too.

A distribution network consisting of over 150 distributors and 1000 retailers is being expanded by the day to ensure maximum reach and easy availability of our product.

Some of the features of our High Quality Flame Retardant PVC Insulated Cables are:

  • Energy Saving (Conductor) - Manufactured from electrolytic grade bright annealed copper, which makes it an excellent conductor of electricity, thus helps in saving energy
  • Safety (Insulation) - Conductors are Insulated with a specially formulated Flame Retardant (FR) grade PVC compound having high insulation resistance and dielectric strength which prevents leakage of electric current, thus ensuring complete safety from shocks and short circuits. In addition, the Insulation Compound has Flame Retardant properties, which in the event of a fire minimizes the spread of fire, thus providing additional safety.

Special Product Feature

THE 'FLAME RETARDANT ADVANTAGE'

  1. Ordinary Cables or Wires insulated with PVC or other Insulating material like Rubber, support burning in the event of a fire due to short circuit or other reasons; whereas Flame retardant PVC Insulated Cables retards the spread of fire.
  2. The Flame Retardant PVC Compound has additional Fire Suppressing Agents like Flame Retardant filler, Antioxidants, Plasticizers, etc.
  3. The Flame Retardant ingredients are added in right proportion to balance the Mechanical, Thermal, Electrical and Fire Retarding properties of Cables.

FLAME RETARDANT TESTS :

  • FLAMMABILITY TEST :

This test determines the ignition resistance and the resistance to flame propagation of cables. The purpose of this test is to determine the fire retarding properties of cable.

  • CRITICAL OXYGEN INDEX TEST :

This test determines the percentage of oxygen required for just supporting burning of cable at room temperature. The normal atmosphere contains about 21% oxygen and if the oxygen index for a material at room temperature is below this level it will catch fire and keep burning. For any material to keep on burning, certain amount of oxygen is required at a given temperature. In case of ordinary PVC Insulated Cables the critical oxygen index is 23%, whereas in case of Flame Retardant Cables it is more than 30%.

  • TEMPERATURE INDEX TEST :

This test determines the critical temperature at which air oxygen content of 21% just supports the combustion of cable. The temperature at which the oxygen required for burning is less than 21%, then at this temperature; the combustion can take place with atmospheric oxygen. This temperature is the Temperature Index of that material. In case ordinary PVC cables, the temperature index is 150deg.C, whereas in case of Flame Retardant Cables it is more than 250deg.C.
