| 1959 : | Asian Cables was incorporated to produce house wiring cable in collaboration with Enfield Cables, U.K under Kotak Management. |
| 1961 : | Asian Cable plant was inaugurated. |
| 1965 : | Power Cable and Magnet Wire projects were commissioned in collaboration with Phelps Dodge of the United States. |
| 1966 : | The Goenkas took over Asian Cables. |
| 1978 : | Became the pioneer in the manufacture of XLPE cables in India. |
| 1985 : | Started Greenfield facility at Mysore to manufacture Jelly Filled Telecom Cables |
| 1991 : | Converted the steam cure XLPE Line to Dry Cure Line in order to manufacture EHV Cables upto 132 kV voltage grade. |
| 1993 : | 132 kV cable production started. |
| 1994 : | Received a Certificate of Approval for ISO 9002 covering all types of Cables including XLPE Cables up to 132 kV. |
| 1995 : | Formed the Contracts division and executed 66 kV Laying and Installation works at GEB. |
| 1995 : | Entered in to collaboration for the manufacture of EHV Cables with the world renowned Cable Manufacturers, BICC CABLES, U.K. |
| 1997 : | The company merged with RPG Telecom Ltd., Mysore and was renamed as RPG Cables Limited. |
| 1999 : | Ministry of Commerce accorded Star Trading Status for export Performance. |
| 2000 : | LT Power Cables manufacturing Unit Inaugurated at Silvassa Re Launched house wiring Cables. |
| 2001 : | Received Certificate of Approval for ISO 14001 - 1996 in Environmental Management System. |
| 2002 : | Received RPG Organisational Excellence Award |
| 2009 : | Received EEPC Export Performance award |
| 2009 : | Received the logistics 2.0 supply chain award. |
| 2010 : | Received Certificate of Approval for ISO 14001 - 2004 in Environmental Management System. |
| 2010 : | Merged with KEC International Ltd from April 2010 |
